New Porch Pictures
Well here are the long awaited porch pictures. Enjoy!
The "new" porch
The room seems bigger with the high ceiling
The children's corner
The windows provides a gorgeous view of our back yard
The spacious room
The beautifully hand carved cabinets made by a great carpenter and friend
A touch of home
Each leaf on the molding was hand painted by a joint effort of our family and a friend. What fun! :)

A Trip to Baltimore
Tuesday we made a family trip to the National Aquarium in Baltimore. The last time we were here Sarah was a baby.
Welcome to the city of Baltimore
A beautiful lighthouse on the shore
Through the glass
A diver feeding the fish
The sting-rays
A colorful bird in the tropical rain forest
Amy eating lunch at the cafe
Daniel and John in a big mouth! :)
~~One of the highlights of the aquarium was seeing the dolphin show! We made sure we sat clear of the splash zone! :)
Jen in the stands enjoying the show
Jumping through the hula- hoop
Way up high!

Please Pray for John Boy
Since John's last seizure and diagnoses of epilepsy, he has seen a neurologist and under gone an EEG, several MRIs and X'rays. They have revealed John has a rare brain disorder called Chiari Malformation. In a nut shell~ part of his brain is slid down into the top part of his spinal cord. It is causing some blockage of his spinal cord fluid going to and from his brain. So far he has shown no negative affects but he is expected to have problems at some point. (A herniation of 3 to 5 mm is usual for this condition and John's is 18mm.) Next week he will see a neurosurgeon at The Chiari Institute in New York that specializes in John's condition, for a consultation.
This is a long-term prayer request- not just for the consultation but in the days ahead as John deals with this. We know God is in complete control of this situation and this is not an "accident" that happened without His notice!
This is an article about a five year girl with the same condition as John

Garden Update
This year our garden consists of almost 20 different veggies. Each year we always try our best to be "weed free" but as the hot summer months come we end up with more weeds then we would like! :)
The garden's new name: Garden of Weedin'
Beautiful flowers adorn the edge of our garden
Cute cucumbers
Yummy bush beans
We can't wait to eat this little guy!!
Our biggest tomato picked yet!
Aww....what a sweet little corn
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Stinnettie Bug Spray
water
ground red pepper
dash of dish soap
~mix ingredients together and spray on plants with bugs. You will see them flying off as fast as they can! :)
**gardener's note: you might have to spray everyday for a few days if the buggies just love your plants.... also don't sniff it -smells terrible ! :)

Goodbye Aunt Grace
This morning our Aunt Grace went into eternity. This is a picture of Daddy with Aunt Grace and Uncle Lloyd. They were his godparents and life long friends of our grandparents. Our grandfather Stinnett and Uncle Lloyd were boyhood friends in grade school!
Uncle Lloyd, Aunt Hester Ann and Daddy
This picture was taken before Uncle Lloyd died when our whole family went to Western Maryland to visit them.
Daniel, Sarah, John, Amy, Jennifer, Susan, Daddy, Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Grace
Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Grace were married over 65 years before Uncle Lloyd died in March of 2003. They were a great example to us of loyalty and faithfulness. We miss them both but look forward to seeing them in Heaven!
"And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the Light thereof ... And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there...And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's Book of Life." Revelations 21:23,25 &27
