Praise Report on John

John did very well with his testing this past week. The MRI took longer then when he got it done before because they did the brain and two sections of his spine all at one time. The neurologist said John's CSF flow is great- (he had next to nothing before the surgery last year) and no other complications have risen since. They reminded us he can't have any trauma to the head -no trampoline, diving, amusement park rides, football, etc. John doesn't need to go back for another year unless he develops the need!
The doctor wants him tested for Lymes to see if that is the cause of the pain John occasionally has in his legs and hands. It doesn't look like it has anything to do with the surgeries.

They were able to stay at the Ronald McDonald House, which was a huge blessing! The hotels in the area are very expensive - especially if you want to stay in the safe part of town! :)
Another nice thing about the RM House is the gifts they leave in the room for the patient!

John Goes Back to New York

John Boy will be going back to The Chiari Institute in New York for a check up and testing this week. Most of the testing will probably take place on Wednesday and maybe going over into Thursday.

A year ago this month we were informed John needed surgeries for complications caused by what had been done by Chiari Malformation and occult tethered cord before it became irreversible damage.

The week before we all left for New York for John's brain/ decompression surgery, the Stinnett girls with a friend wrote this song.

We are so grateful to God for a successful outcome from both surgeries - one in September 2007 and the other in January 2008, and to the many friends who prayed for him during that time.

Thank you in advance for your prayers for John's testing this week!
