The Beautiful Maryland Shore

Along the waterfront of the Chester River, twelve ships were about ready to be stored for the winter. Many people came to see them before they left.

To learn some more about it, check this out...

"They brought up their families in sturdy virtue and a living faith in God without which nations perish." ~ The inscription on the Pilgrim Mother Monument in Plymouth, MA.

John has a lot to smile about this Thanksgiving, not the least of which is his recovery from brain surgery. We are grateful for the kind Providences of God in our lives this past year. All praise and glory to His name!
"Thus out of small beginnings greater things have been produced by His hand that made all things from nothing, and gives being to all things that are; and as one small candle may light a thousand, so the light here kindled hath shone unto many, yea in some sort to our whole nation; let the glorious name of Jehovah have all the praise." ~Governor William Bradford

Fall, Family, Football and Fun!

Last night we went to our cousin's, Nelly Markow, high school football game. She was recognized at the beginning of the game as she is a Senior this year. Here is a picture of her and her cheerleader team during the game.

Amy and Baby Mark sharing a conversation after we went back to the house to warm up and eat. Mark is eight months old now but is the size of three month old. He was diagnosed with Noonan Syndrome a while back but is making improvements with physical therapy and medicine for his heart.

Today cousins Cloe and Luke are over at our house. They are having fun playing outside.

Renewing Friendships

Sarah, Amy, Jessica, Jennifer and Susan before we left for church this morning.

Our friend Jessica Pillman from Wisconsin came by for a quick 24 hour visit to our home yesterday. She had come out to visit her brother who is at Patrick Henry College. We had such a great time cramming as much visiting and talking as we could in the moments we had!
We met the Pillman family in person in Jan of '05 when they came to tour Washington DC and stayed at our house that week. Before then Jessica and I (Susan) had only "met" though writing letters since 1999 or 2000. (We were introduced by a mutual friend in her letter. -I know, it sounds confusing and I don't usually pick up friends in this matter but it makes for an interesting story and a special friendship! :))

Visiting after eating last night - We girls talked in bed last night until we were too tired to make sense in our conversations! lol! Then we went to sleep. :)

Jessica lending a hand in the kitchen after church when we were getting lunch together.

The Pillmans let Daniel have their old Wisconsin license plates-to his delight. :)
We were sorry to let Jessica go so soon but were very glad she took time to come by to see us on her trip out east!~ Thanks Jessica -it was wonderful seeing you again!! :)
