In Surgery *Day 1*

John is in the operating room. He went in at quarter till eight this morning. Mom said there are three neurosurgeons with him. (We thought earlier there would be only two.) John did really well -no crying when he parted with Mom and Dad. The nurses are excellent.
More updates later. Keep praying.
Update 1:50pm- Over six hours in surgery- still no word yet. Will post as soon as we know something.

Update 2:05pm - Mom and Dad saw one of the neurosurgeons passing in the hall and caught him. He said they are still "working very hard" but was very vague when they questioned him. All we know they aren't ready to close John up yet.

Update 3:15pm - Not out of surgery but we were told John is okay in the operation room. Big relief!! Miracles happened in the surgery- more on that later.

Update 3:35pm- Being wheeled to recovery

Waiting for this thing to flash and beep -It will mean the surgery is almost done.
